Suave's Republique Cricket

Ravi Bopara. Good work fella.

I\'ve got a massive bum chin

Ravi Bopara, Essex all-rounder.

THis boy is the shizzle this season, he’s scored 341 runs in three County Championship innings and also tops his team’s bowling averages.

Him and my man, Ten Doeschate (took a 6-fer against the kiwi’s) are both looking superb down at the county ground.

Ravi has admitted that he turned down a six figure sum from the IPL, to concentrate on getting back into THE ENgland setup.

That is good.

That is nice.

Ravi is my friend again.

Ravi had this to say..

“If I do this, and with the current talk of new competitions and one-off matches to sit alongside the IPL, then I am sure there will be plenty of opportunities to enjoy the financial benefits in years to come,”

23 years old, and the little fella’s got a wise head on his shoulders!

This makes me happy.  More updates, when the fugue of four  days drinking lifts from my sorry head.

He’s been in good form in the recent past.
But whom will he replace is the question.
Vaughan,Cook,Strauss,KP,Colly and Bell look almost certain.

It’s a good point, and really Shah and Robert Key should be in a batting place, before him.

It depends how well his bowling is coming on, he’s taken 9 wickets @29, which is pretty good.

Ravi Bop is 21st century Mark Ramprakash – majestic in county cricket – weedy in Test cricket. Just a thought

wasnt Ravi Bopara the guy who choked against Sri Lanka in the 2007 World Cup?

6 figure sum for him… The Bangalore Royally Challenged are getting desperate !!

I can see where you’re coming from Ceci, but he only averages high 30’s so far. Not quite in the Ramps category yet.

He might be bowling well Suave.
But he cannot bowl like Flintoff. So he is more likely to be left out.
That is the problem. He cannot make it to the playing XI even if he is in form (unless there in an injury). Problem with plenty you see…
